Take a walk with one of the guides and discover the 18th-century park of Loenersloot Castle.
The park is a "Van Laar park", turned inwards and with hardly any sightlines on, for example, church towers or country estates. It has many water features and winding paths. Many artificial hills and a bridge completed an intimate, spatially very effectively arranged, pleasant walking park. The park also contains four group shelters of the Defense Line of Amsterdam, which was used during the mobilization for WWII.
Many years of neglected maintenance turned the park into a wilderness. Restoration has been underway for a number of years. The result: a beautiful park that is accessible again, which is pleasant to stay in and which is certainly worth a visit.
