Camp on the desert island of Pampus

Sleeping on an uninhabited island. A dream come true this summer on Fort Island Pampus!

Experience a magical night on beautiful Pampus. In the distance you can see the skyline of Amsterdam, the occasional boat passes by and your fellow overnight guests are many geese and swallows... This summer we have set up ten comfortable tents, and your bed is already made up. 

Camping on an island starts with a nice boat trip, of course! Take your luggage to historic Muiden. After half an hour you'll disembark in the harbour of Pampus where your adventure begins. When all other guests leave the island, this adventure begins for you. The campsite manager welcomes you on Pampus and guides you to your own camping pitch. Each camping pitch has a picnic bench and we set up an extra tent for children. Enjoy the beautiful view, take a look at the fort museum, dive into the IJmeer or order a refreshing drink at the bar.

After dinner, you can play a game, enjoy the beautiful starry sky and the magic of the night before falling asleep to the sound of rippling water. At the crack of dawn, Pampus may be at its most beautiful and you'll wake up to a delicious breakfast in bed. After breakfast, enjoy the island-on-an-island feeling! You can take the first ferry to Muiden, or linger a while. Do what you like!
