Africa Day Evening: Music & Poetry

Experience the richness and diversity of African cultures during the sixth edition of the Afrikadag Festival. The festive opening night at Bibliotheek Hilversum brings together music, storytelling, art and inspiring conversations in a vibrant cultural setting.

The evening features live music by Necco Novellas, powerful spoken word performances by Mishaly and an inspiring talk and conversation with Clarice Gargard. Together, they create an evening full of creativity, reflection and fresh perspectives.

Afrikadag Festival celebrates a wide range of African traditions and cultural expressions. Alongside the opening event, the festival also offers workshops, dance, children’s activities, African cuisine and cultural experiences throughout the programme.
