Big Country

Big Country, one of Scotland’s most iconic rock bands, is coming to De Vorstin! With their unique blend of post-punk, new wave, and Scottish folk influences, they broke through worldwide in the 1980s and have remained a staple in music history ever since. Hits like In a Big Country and Fields of Fire from their debut album The Crossing brought them international fame, followed by classics such as Steeltown and The Seer.

Their distinctive guitar sound, inspired by Scottish folk, makes Big Country’s music timeless and instantly recognizable. After the passing of frontman Stuart Adamson in 2001, the band chose to carry on his musical legacy. Since their return in 2007, they have continued to perform and release new music, reaching new generations of fans.

The current lineup combines original members with new talent: Tommy Paxton (vocals, guitar), Bruce Watson (guitar), Chris Stone (bass), Reece Dobbin (drums), and Jamie Watson (guitar). Expect an evening full of energy, nostalgia, and unforgettable anthems!
