Four Seasons Along the Vecht

In the exhibition “Four Seasons Along the Vecht”, photographer Jos van de Berg and painter Martine van Lieshout show how two very different art forms can capture the same perspective of the River Vecht.

Jos uses his camera to capture fleeting, pure moments: the soft morning light in spring, the rich colors of autumn, the cold winter mist, and the lush bloom of summer. Martine translates these same scenes onto canvas, using brushstrokes and color to deepen the atmosphere, light and emotion of each season.

By presenting their works side by side, a unique dialogue emerges: the same place, the same view, yet each time a different experience. In this way, the Vecht becomes not only visible, but also tangible in all its seasonal beauty.
