What's on the program this year? First, a symphonic Blaricum Music Festival Orchestra (put together in cooperation with the Verbier Festival). Conductor Mathieu Herzog will conduct the opening and closing concerts as well as teach a number of string quartets the tricks of the trade during master classes.

Of course, the program also features numerous fantastic soloists and ensembles. Thus the famous English tenor Ian Bostridge will be 'Artist in Residence' (he will give two concerts and master classes), violinist Baeva will perform Beethoven's beautiful violin concerto, 'national pride' Rosanne Philippens will play all of Bach's violin concertos, The erudite but also flamboyant cellist Alban Gerhardt will be there for a number of concerts and master classes, the famous Czech violinist Josef Špaček and Israeli pianist Itamar Golan will play music from Josef's homeland, and the lovable Irish pianist Barry Douglas will play two fantastic Beethoven piano concertos and give a very colorful recital.

In the Young masters series, top international talent will "get the word" during enjoyable afternoon concerts. The 'different-concert' this year is one around the gypsy-jazz music (Hot Club de France) of Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt and will be performed by the violinist specializing in this genre Tim Kliphuis. He is joined by one of the most virtuoso guitarists Moses Rosenberg and the wonderfully swinging and fun-playing English bassist Nick McGuire.
