The exhibition "Design by Nature: flowers & insects" at the Muiderslot invites you to experience the beauty of nature through the eyes of creative artists: photographer Marit van Ekelenburg and stylist duo The Wunderkammer.

For instance, the castle rooms are decorated with spectacular contemporary floral creations by stylist duo The Wunderkammer. Besides flowers, there is room for insects, they are increasingly disappearing from nature. High time they got a face now. Stunning close-up photos of insects by photographer Marit van Ekelenburg highlight their unique structures and beauty.

In addition to focusing on contemporary works, a special audio tour highlights flowers and insects that have been visible for centuries not only in gardens, but also in paintings and furniture: the natural world as a source of inspiration for creative designs and art forms.
