Celebrate Philip Glass at 90 with Lavinia Meijer

Philip Glass turns 90, and harpist Lavinia Meijer puts his music centre stage. In this special Seinconcert, she looks back on her memorable collaborations with the renowned American composer and celebrates the music that has connected them.

Glass’s distinctive music is at the heart of the programme. Lavinia is joined by multi-instrumentalist Reyer Zwart on acoustic and electric guitar, bass guitar and piano.

The music of Sufjan Stevens also has a place in the concert. Reyer Zwart performs his songs, introducing another musical connection that came into Lavinia’s life through Philip Glass. Different musical worlds come together in this personal tribute to one of the best-known composers of our time.
