Country estate Over Holland is surrounded by trees and meadows in the Vecht village of Nieuwersluis. The house is among the largest country houses of the 17th century. It was built in 1676 as a town hall.

The symmetrical building was a copy of an Amsterdam canal house. About Holland is in good company with the country houses Rupelmonde and Sterreschans nearby. The back facade of the house faces the river Vecht. The stately entrance is built in the Louis XIV style. The interior of Over Holland still contains original Louis XV decorations.

The house is not open for viewing but part of the garden is. The 'courtyard' on the west side of the Rijksstraatweg is open to the public.

The garden of Over Holland country estate is home to many birds such as robin, wren, fitis, buzzard, tree falcon and kingfisher.
