Speelvijver Spiegelplas is a shallow lake and the sandy beach slopes gradually. There is also a large sunbathing area with a football pitch and toilet facilities. Parking is available at Sporthal de Blijk. The other beaches can only be reached on foot or by bicycle.

Nature reserve "Het Paradijs", south of the lake, is an oasis of peace and beautiful nature. In this part of the lake, there are enough moorings to spend a relaxing day.

There are few boats on the Spiegelplas because De Zanderijsluis is the only access from the Vecht to the lake and has limited opening hours. Especially in the evening it is often nice and quiet and you can enjoy the beautiful nature and sunsets.

Mooring
There are several marinas on the lake where you can moor. You can also use various jetties and the so-called "shopping jetty" on the Ankeveensepad within walking distance of Nederhorst den Berg. Various cycling, hiking and bridle paths run around the lake where you can enjoy the beautiful nature.

Underwater sports
The lake covers more than 250 hectares and was created by sand extraction. The water here is extremely clear and is therefore known as one of the most beautiful diving spots in the Netherlands. There is a special diving zone on the northern side.

Access
You can reach the Spiegel- en Blijkpolderplas by boat from the Vecht via the Zanderijsluis locks. Passage to other waters is not possible.
